Bring home one of the aquarium hobby's most fascinating and beloved "oddball" species with the Upside-Down Catfish! Famous for their unique habit of swimming and resting belly-up, these dwarf catfish are incredibly peaceful, full of personality, and make a fantastic addition to any well-established community tank.

Diet & Feeding
These fish are opportunistic omnivores. In the wild, they naturally browse on the undersides of submerged branches and plants.
- Diet: High-quality sinking pellets, algae wafers, and freeze-dried or frozen meaty foods like bloodworms.
- Feeding tip: Feed during dusk or with the tank lights off to encourage their natural nighttime foraging.
Tank Setup & Care
To help them feel secure and exhibit their signature inverted swimming, ensure the aquarium provides the following:
- Minimum Tank Size: 20 gallons (though 30+ gallons is recommended if keeping them in a school).
- Social Behavior: Highly gregarious. They thrive when kept in small schools of 3 to 6 or more.
- Decor & Hiding: They prefer dim lighting and require plenty of hiding places, such as driftwood, rock caves, and broad-leaved plants (like Anubias or Java Fern) where they can hang out upside down on the leaves.
