Bring vibrant energy to your aquarium with the Marmalade OB Peacock, a stunning hybrid from the Aulonocara line of Lake Malawi cichlids. This selectively bred variety combines the brilliant metallic blues of the Peacock cichlids with the bold orange blotch (OB) pattern of Mbuna ancestry, creating one of the most visually striking African cichlids available.
Each specimen displays its own unique color pattern — no two are alike. Males develop intense orange and blue coloration with dark marbling, while females show softer golden tones. The Marmalade OB Peacock is semi-aggressive but generally peaceful when housed with other medium-sized African cichlids.
Provide a spacious aquarium with sandy substrate, rocky shelters, and stable alkaline water conditions (pH 7.8–8.6). A balanced diet of quality cichlid pellets, spirulina, and frozen foods will enhance their vivid colors and overall health.
