The threadfin acara (Acarichthys heckelii), also known as Heckel's thread-finned acara and Threadfin Geophagus is a South American species of cichlid fish. It adapts very well to live in an community fish tank, because no has aggressive behavior and most foods are accepted but a varied diet is essential for it to develop the best condition and color.
